The moment you wake up, the very first hour of the day is most crucial and important. It’s said that as you wake up, your subconscious mind is in a most active state, a feel-good factor. Hence, it is important to understand that, there is an impact on your mindset that sets the tone for rest of the day. In fact, one can train the brain to make use of their subconscious to think positively and further train in any aspects that one wants to accomplish more, during the course of the day. It becomes so very important to review your morning routine in a detailed fashion like the thoughts at the time of waking up, kinds of words you use as soon as you wake up, other daily activities like brushing, etc., all the way till such time you sit for work. But, if you pause here and think for a moment, a little-known fact is that most of us are on auto-pilot when it comes to the morning routine, until such time we sip the morning coffee/tea, that is when a kind of waking-up happens, isn’t it? But the good news is that we can change this behavior and it need not be our default behavior. Now one may ask, is there a perfect morning routine? The answer is a big NO. However, each one of us has some goal to achieve and we are always striving towards that. We can plan our morning routine step-by-step consciously to integrate with our goals. This is more useful and helpful than the most used to auto-pilot behavior. Just take some time out, and think about this concept – The First Hour of My Day. As soon as you start to look deep into your morning activities, the usual routine that you have been following, you will understand how that is helping you in achieving your desired goal. If not, now you know what you need to do, because this will show you the exact changes that you may have to inculcate from the time your wake up to the time you hit your work desk. Any habit or behavior, that is not supporting your goal, needs to be eliminated from your morning routine. Once you implement this strategy, you will experience that Inner-Shift in your experience that makes you feel more awake, fresh, positive, and active as you start your day at work.
