Most of us want more money and can even hustle really hard to try and get it but often it stays just out of reach. I worked really hard for years and never had the kind of money I thought I should have to show for it. I then started working with my energy or chakra system and started to see real results, made more money easily and also I felt so much better about money, which then attracted it to me in the form of clients, opportunities and inspired ideas. Below, I share 3 tips below to get you out of the vicious cycle of money worry and use the chakras to help you make more money and get into your abundant flow.

What is a chakra?

The chakras are a system of energetic power points or meridians which are located along the spine. These chakras (or spinning wheels of energy) hold our childhood programming, our subconscious thoughts, past experiences and they drive our behaviour. This happens whether we are aware of it or not. Our chakras determine how we feel. And our feelings determine how we act. They determine what we do or don’t do because we avoid pain and go towards pleasure. So, we do things which feel good (spending money) and avoid things we associate with pain (saving each month) even if they will eventually give us pleasure (having £100,000 saved up for a property purchase). Around 90% of behaviour is driven by the subconscious mind, so by being able to manipulate our body’s energy and thereby our subconscious mind, we find a really quick shortcut to creating the life we want using our subconscious mind and energy.

The 3 Chakras Which Are Related To Money

Money and security are primarily governed by the lower 3 chakras (the Root, the Sacral and the Solar plexus). If the root chakra is imbalanced, you either hoard money or don’t think about it at all. If the sacral chakra is imbalanced, you spend money like crazy, or feel really guilty spending any money on yourself. If the solar plexus is imbalanced, you probably dream up lots of money-making ideas but procrastinate on action, or you take lots and lots and LOTS of mindless action but see little or no financial reward.

What to do?

Balance these 3 chakra points and watch your behaviour change; your attitude to money change; and your life and bank balance improve. What’s more, you will FEEL differently which is the basis of all positive action.

3 Ways You Can Use Your Chakras Today To Make Money

1. Balance The Root Energy By Connecting With Nature Then Creating A Budget If you don’t feel you have enough money or are worried about your security over the next few months, your energy is likely ungrounded and unstable.

You might not ‘feel’ safe or secure within yourself.

When you don’t feel safe in yourself, potential clients or employers will feel this vibe from you and it might result in a very desperate energy when you’re in sales calls, interviews or salary negotiations. So, before you start trying to create money, this energy needs to be grounded so that can exude a kind of grounded confidence around money. Before you tackle your money stuff, take a relaxing walk in nature, or sit or lie on the ground to physically ground your root energy to the earth. Do this for at least 30 minutes. What this does is to make you feel balanced and centred before you dive in to look at your money stuff. Money is a triggering and emotional subject and we need to be grounded before we look at it.

Once grounded, look at your finances.

Download your statements and look at what’s going in and coming out each month. I knowwwww, you don't want to, you don't feel like it, you want avoid it. But until you know your current money situation, your energy will be scattered because it will be subconsciously fearful of what’s going on in your finances. Also the things we avoid drain our energy. So, just download a bank statement for the last month and put an ‘I’ next to income and an ‘O’ next to outgoings and add up the totals. It’s simple but will be the first step to you knowing what you need each month. You will immediately start to feel calmer. Once you do this, your root energy settles because it starts to feel safe and then energy can start to rise up the spine and you can start to have inspired ideas and take action on them.

Already have a budget?

Then create short term and long term money goals.

A short term money goal might be to earn £200 from a side hustle this month. A long term money goal might be to own your own home worth £6500,000 in 2 years. Write down these goals and your root energy will have something to anchor itself to and you will know where you're headed. The Root chakra loves a plan, loves goals and loves you to be in control of, and driving your destiny! I know it might be hard but your mind, body and spirit will thank you for it. Make the best plan you can. Your root energy needs it and without this, you will be losing sleep over money worries and possibly missing out on opportunities right under your nose.

2. Get Fun And Creative With The Sacral

While the root is all about stability and security and being earthy and fixed, the sacral is about movement, change, flow, desire and want. Once you’ve decided what you want, that desire needs to be given a channel, or movement, so that you can use the energy of desire to fuel your action. If you don’t really want something that you say you want, then you won’t have the physical energy in your body take action on it. Your desire has to be bigger than your fear to drive action. The sacral is where our excitement for our money lives. To amplify that desire, dream and visualise and add a creative element to your goals or budgeting. This centre is about creativity and flow. For this one, I recommend having a fun visual for what will it feel like when you make that extra money.

What would you spend it on? How will you enjoy that money?

You can have an image as a screensaver on your phone that represents you enjoying the money, so that you start to magnetise the forces of creation to help you attract it. Bonus tip: MOVE your body. This centre loves and needs movement so that our creative energies are released within our body. So, in order for your brain to be fired by creative money making ideas, move your body and especially the region where this chakra lives: the hips, the sacrum, the area where the sexual organs are. Shaking the hips, pelvic tilts and dancing are great to release this energy.

This is the doing or action centre. If you procrastinate constantly, then your solar plexus becomes underactive and the energy in your body starts to stagnate at the point above the naval and underneath the rib cage. You might even develop digestive problems or issues with the abdominal area if you are procrastinating on a lot of things. To help yourself move towards your goals, fire up the solar plexus energy by taking action. The solar plexus is not an overthinking, overanalysing centre; it needs and loves action, even if it’s really small action. It’s also the centre for courage and self-esteem.

The more you act, the more courageous you feel.

To fire up this centre, you want to connect to the energy of fire or the sun. So, if you feel lethargic, lazy or plain demotivated, take yourself out in the sun and imagine the sun firing up your own internal fire. The sun represents our solar plexus energy. Then, take one small action towards your money goals. Don’t overthink, don’t delay, just take any small inspired action you can. It’s only by doing that we learn so that action doesn't need to be right. Take immediate action because money loves action and speed. So, call that potential client, write that blog post, schedule that call. Whatever the first logical step is towards your goal, take it and then keep taking small daily actions. If you’re really stuck in your head over this, then try any of the yoga warrior poses. They are designed to get us out of head and into our bodies and fire up solar plexus energy and they naturally release our courageous action-orientated nature. And that's it, 3 things you can do today that will help you use your chakras to create more money. That's it.
