With renowned Indian industrialists Gautam Adani, Chairman and Founder of the Adani Group, and Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and Managing director of Reliance Industries, making huge strides on the Forbes richest list, the urge to know their competitors and the conversation revolving around the richest men has also gained much momentum on social media. While their luxurious lifestyle is sure to leave you spellbound, a recently released Henley Global Citizens report shared a list of cities with the most millionaires. And if you're wondering if any Indian city has made it on the list, then you can check the list yourself here:

1. New York

The financial capital of the USA, New York, tops the list with 345,600 millionaires. With the city's residents’ wealth exceeding USD 3 trillion, and nearby towns also hosting a gala of rich personalities, the Big Apple manages to secure the top spot on the recently released report.

2. Tokyo

According to the Henley Global Citizens report, Tokyo is the home to 304,900 millionaires. While other cities on the list may host more billionaires than Tokyo, Japan's powerhouse surely makes a mark on the global market with the presence of Sony, Honda and many other renowned companies.

3. San Francisco Bay Area

Another American city that managed to make it to the list is San Francisco Bay Area (San Francisco and Silicon Valley). Popularly known as the hub for tech billionaires, San Francisco Bay Area has nearly 276,400 millionaires residing in its heart. And after witnessing its enormous growth in the past decade, San Francisco Bay Area could eventually end up topping the list by 2040, according to Henley Global Citizens.

4. London

Despite many millionaires moving out of the English capital, London continues to emerge as a popular destination, securing the third spot on the list. A hub of global brands like Barclays, HSBC, Standard Chartered, and others, London continues to remain a popular spot with millionaires.

5. Singapore

Popularly known as the world's most business-friendly city, Singapore is the home to 249,800 millionaires, which helped it to grab the fifth spot on the list.

6. Los Angeles

Hollywood's home is also the residence for nearly 192,400 millionaires. From a never-ending list of renowned names from the world of entertainment to millionaire magnets, Los Angeles continues to allure people from all over the world.

7. Chicago

With approximately 35 Fortune 500 companies making Chicago their base due to their highly diversified economy, the city has become home to 160,100 millionaires, who aim to expand and diversify their business.

8. Houston

Touted as the fasting growing city (in terms of wealth) in the world, Houston is now home to 132,600 millionaires.

9. Beijing and Shanghai

The capital of China and its largest city — Beijing and Shanghai, respectively — managed to bag the 9th and 10th spots on the list. While Beijing is the home to 131,500 millionaires, nearly 130,100 millionaires mention Shanghai as their address. While none of the Indian cities could make it to the top 10, the Henley Global Citizens report suggests that Mumbai, along with Dubai and Shenzhen, have witnessed a surprising rise in their popularity, and could make their way up to the list of top wealthiest cities by 2030. Currently, ranked 25 on the list, Mumbai is the home to 60,600 millionaires and 30 billionaires.
