Understanding divine abundance

3 John 1:2 – Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. God wants you to live in abundance in every area of your life. God is not wasteful but He is extravagant. He does not give enough, He gives more than enough.

Abundance – what is it?

Some of the definitions of abundance include, an extremely plentiful or over sufficient quantity or supply, overflowing fullness, affluence; wealth. Deuteronomy 8:18 says And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day Whenever people hear abundance they quickly think of money. Money is included in abundance but not all of it. Abundance covers every area of our lives: spiritual, physical, material, soul and social. Spiritual prosperity is when your spirit becomes born again when you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and saviour. Physical prosperity has to do with the well being of your body, that is when you prosper in your health. Divine abundance in your soul means prosperity in your emotions, will and mind. This means you are emotionally stable, you are creative, and you make decisions that will lead to prosperity. Material abundance has to with finance and assets. Social abundance means you gain status among people. Friend, as a father wants the best for his children, so God wants the best for you and it includes abundance. Luke 12:32 – Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
