Your destiny number is calculated by getting to the root number of your full name (first, middle, and last) by reducing each name to a single digit, then adding up the total and reducing that to a single digit.

First, match up the letters in your name to numbers:

1: A, J, S

2: B, K, T

3: C, L, U

4: D, M, V

5: E, N, W

6: F, O, X

7: G, P, Y

8: H, Q, Z

9: I, R

If your destiny number is 11, 22, or 33, don’t reduce it down to 2, 4, or 6. Instead, list it as 11/2, 22/4, or 33/6. These are called master destiny numbers, and they’re powerful numbers in their own right.

Robyn = 9 + 6 + 2 + 7 + 5 = 29 = 2 + 9 = 11 = 1 + 1 = 2 Rihanna = 9 + 9 + 8 + 1 + 5 + 5 + 1 = 38 = 3 + 8 = 11 = 1 + 1 = 2 Fenty = 6 + 5 + 5 + 2 + 7 = 25 = 2 + 5 = 7 Then, add each number together to get 2 + 2 + 7 = 11. This makes Rihanna’s destiny number the master destiny number of 11/2.

Do I Have to Use My Original Name?

When calculating your number, it’s important that you use your birth name (the full name printed on your birth certificate), even if you no longer use that name. Many numerologists are pretty hard-core on that requirement because the energy of this name and its influence doesn’t disappear if you change it. Its impact remains throughout your life.
