Should I use white or yellow light?

It is recommended to use warm white in other words yellow color light in our living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms and other rooms of the house. Because the yellow light contains less blue light, it creates a more relaxing effect for the eyes. It is a common fact that cold colors may cause sleeping problems.

LED bulbs are generally evaluated in two different classes according to light color. Bulbs which are emitting warm white color will be yellow labeled and bulbs which are emitting cool white color will be labeled as white. Yellow indicates mostly 2700K-3000K temperature range; white indicates 6000K-6500K temperature range. Which one should we prefer for our homes?

It is recommended to use warm white in other words yellow color light in our living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms and other rooms of the house. Because the yellow light contains less blue light, it creates a more relaxing effect for the eyes. It is a common fact that cold colors may cause sleeping problems. In that case, expose to cool white light in houses may reduce the sleep quality and prolong the sleep transition period. Cool white colors recommended mostly in offices, garages, trade areas like workshops and industrial facilities. In fact, the preference of color on the consumer side is usually shaped by habits. Those who get used to white light prefer white light again when they buy a new bulb to their houses. Some people say that the white light in the LED light bulbs is brighter and provides more lighting. It is not quite wrong because the white light in LEDs occurs by blue color LED chip is covered with a yellow phosphor. Here, when the phosphor coating is made darker, a yellow light is produced instead of white. In this case, less light can be thrown out of the LED. This explains why white LEDs have more light flux than yellow LEDs. As we told before many times; good lighting does not mean more light. For this reason, you need to make a choice according to your needs.
