Learn More »I’ve mentioned in previous blog posts that staying at home and not engaging in social activities is difficult for me, too. Plus, my event planning business is my livelihood, and pausing operations is tough. But keeping it up and running right now is not worth risking other people's lives. I do it because that's what I would want others to do for me. I can’t imagine Thanksgiving via Zoom (I’ll miss my family’s food!) or trick or treating inside our house for Halloween, but that’s where we’re headed. And if that’s what we have to do to keep my family safe, then so be it. I want to go to Target so bad and actually roam the aisles like every other mom who escapes there. I’ve had to miss trips to Tokyo and Jamaica this year. 6 of my family members have gotten COVID-19 with 2 in the hospital. Another school year is here and I am homeschooling (again)!! Until we show compassion and kindness towards others, we will continue to be in this place. We will never get the economy up and running like this. Not only that, so many social injustices are still not resolved. Breonna Taylor’s death goes unanswered. She was killed in her sleep and the officers responsible are still going to work each day. People are suffering and being killed when they shouldn’t be, from the virus and violence. And now that the election is coming up, it’s like the virus is taking the back seat to politics as November approaches. If you want to exercise your democratic rights to vote, then wear a mask so you can vote at the polls.When people refuse to acknowledge this when exercising their personal freedom, it feels like our entire country is in denial of how bad things are. Have some people just decided to completely ignore the virus as others die each day? It’s like we are living in a twilight zone.

You can choose to believe that the feather you saw on the sidewalk fell from a bird flying by, or you can trust that it's some kind of sign that your angel is watching you and everything will be OK. When we acknowledge signs from our guardian angels, we encourage them to send more and open up the lines of communication between the physical world and the divine.
