A former supermarket warehouse manager named Rob has been able to retire at the age of 35, after investing in the popular meme coin Shiba Inu.

He had reportedly told Fortune about how he started trading cryptocurrencies in an effort to build a brighter future for his partner and son.

How It All Started

It all started when Rob became interested in Shiba Inu after reading about the memecoin's 28-page white paper upon its launch in August 2020.

As per his statement to Fortune, Rob was hooked to the memecoin.

He then decided to gradually invest $8,000 in it and like any other investor, expected his holdings to grow. As the value of the Shiba Inu kept soaring in May 2021, Rob was happy to see his investments multiplying, and he even stated that he would check his account every hour to make sure his gains were still intact! He said "I come from quite a poor background. I could never have even fantasized about having this much money. But (when I checked) it wasn't gone. It wasn't a dream!"
