According to a new study conducted by OnePoll on behalf of DoorDash, Americans are accidentally leaving behind their essentials when traveling. The survey found that 39% of people forget more than five items each month and the average person has to return home to retrieve four forgotten items in that same period.

Are the stars to blame?

While forgetfulness is equally distributed among the zodiac, the things we forget can be sign specific. Air signs can easily space out of conversations and lose track of their thoughts and technological devices. Water signs oft forget that other people can’t naturally intuit their needs while Fire signs signs forget to breathe between monologues and Earth signs forget to share their food and their feelings. The survey revealed that the top items Americans accidentally leave at home are phones (31%), water bottles or drinks (28%), beauty products like deodorant, body lotion and makeup (25%) and sunscreen (21%). Skincare, hydration and connectivity all have their place in our lives, but we are focusing on the actions, manners and mindfulness the zodiac signs are apt to forget.
